MOJO CLUB mod soul night

Due to the drunken riotous behavior of POF members at our last 60's night at the Bear Tavern, the management have decided...

Seriously, our first one was a great night, with well over 120 in attendance, there was flirting, dancing, drinking, and of course great music. It did get a bit hot and steamy in there and I'm not sure if that was the weather or the POF members making the temperature rise.

Who says you have to be a youngster to have fun !!

So once again you are invited to:
Club Mojo's POF party at the Bear Tavern, Bearwood, Birmingham, for more nostalgia from the 60's.

If you have never been to a POF party before fear not, for few members our first party was also their first party, but came and told me what a great time they were having, adding that it was a great way to meet and have fun. POF parties have become very popular for good reason, it's a great night out for everyone. Although it is open to the public, it is a POF party and around 90% are POF members and their friends.

The average age of attendees, is 35+, but all ages are welcome.

So come and relive the wonderful hip times of the 60's from the early Mod era, to the Psychedelic Hippies, in the decade that brought us some of the greatest stars of all time. From home grown Brit Pop from bands such as The Small Faces, Spencer Davis Group, The Kinks, and The Who, to the soulful sounds of Motown, Northern soul, classic R&B with stars such as Otis Reading , Jackie Wilson, Martha Reeves, to name a few, RETROSOUNDS DJ plays only original vinyl record for that pure 60's sound, that spawned the many dance crazes of the time. Watch the big screen to see how many of the dance are done and see some of the great artist from the era.

So dig out your best gear, look sharp and go back in time for the night. So no trainers or sportswear, guys find that suit from the back of the wardrobe, ladies dig out the mini skirts. and be immersed in one of life's greatest musical decades.

Entry is free, so bring as many friends as you like, the venue has two rooms, the main room has the dance floor and DJ, the connecting room is more cosy, with enough seating for everyone, so you can flirt and chat and maybe meet that special person, while soaking up the nostalgia of the decade that brought us Peace and Love.
