Event Description

The Specials and Specialized – The British Music Festival – in association with http://www.specializedcharityalbum.co.uk/ Scooter rideout and custom show for the 12th August 2012 as part of the Specials pre show event at Hyde park. The event will take place at The Rhythm Factory, Whitechapel Road in London. There will be ample parking for scooters on the day. We will have the following categories for the show: Best Vespa (sponsored by the Vespaholics) Best Lambretta (sponsor TBC) Best of show (sponsor TBC) Best ‘British’ themed scooter (sponsor TBC) Best turned out club (numbers on the day) (sponsor TBC)

As a bit of background The Specials have been in collaboration with the specialized gigs across the UK and beyond in 2012 (see link above) and in the run up to the gig in Hyde Park (http://www.btlondonlive.com/hyde-park) .The charity is the Teenage Cancer Trust and the whole series of events are high profile due to the success of the first album and the link to The Specials. A second album is already being planned for 2013.
