When I was 17 I had a 50s. Sure it was not the best at starting or keeping going for that matter. However it learned me two big lessons

1. The mates who stick by you when your 25 miles an hour slower than you are the best mates you will EVER have.
2. Learning how to fix/restore and build up a mod scooter of your own is a lesson in life.

I have restored over 10 scooters in my life and the V100 with a Primavera 125 that I ride was built and brought back to life by me. It is 27 years old and looks like I got it new 10 minutes ago.
I am sure there are plenty out there like me.

Get a 50 work on it and learn something...it is a lesson in life for a 16 year old that will prove invaluable

What generation/year was it Robert? If you can remember

These things seem to be classics now and have started commanding classic prices. I was never a fan myself and had a Vespa SS90 reg'd as a 50. One of those would be even more pricey!! There is a Vespa club UK forum which I'm sure would be helpful and also has a classifieds section.

You might consider one of these if you've got the money.....the only thing that would put me off is the twist 'n' go element. I like gears and clutch lol!!

Good luck......or perhaps wait another year.....if you can!!

Cheers Smithers, i dont think i could wait another year lol if i get a cheap one and maybe sell it after then maybe i could wait!

A few quid to sort the speedo and the running problem but still looks like a bargain. A new one would cost you double.
Offer him 600 and go to 700. Sorted!

Bit too far away from me Graeme, thanks though.
