Another (great) Saturday Night
Yet again a night to remember. Brilliant live set from the 5 Aces in front of a packed house at the Admiral. As always the company was absolutley spot on and we all had a fantastic laugh. The music form the DJs was also fantastic and made me stay far longer than I had intended.
I think that Wetherspoons pub is far better than the Grahamstone for gigs in the Admiral so that was an added bonus too. Great to meet Mary (soon to be Molloy) and Jan from the site. We were talking about this last night and I think just about everyone agrees that the whole scene is so vibrant in Glasgow just now, and its brilliant to see it so healthy. In some ways its even better now than during the heydays of the very early 80s. Sure we are not teenagers any more, but the violence that was sometimes present in the Glasgow Mod scene has disappeared, thank goodness.

Great set, great music from the DJ's and really good laugh last night Chris. Think the Admiral's a really good venue...always seem to get a good sound in there.

Great photo Charlie, brings back memories from a cracker of a night. I think a few of us had a bit of a hangover on the Sunday right enough, and I had to go into work too.

5 aces are brilliant. I won't say which one told me but it was mentioned that they likely will get back together at some point. That would be a good bonus to the scene, I love this band.
