the book is an absolute classic

a must read .

the recent film remake or the original movie  cant touch it !

I have to agree with Hubert, here!  Classic book!

The book and the original film with Richard Attenborough, [Dr Who] William Hartnell and Hermoine Badderley (Ellen the Maid in Mary Poppins) are fantastic to read and watch.

I like the original film, with Attenborough, very much.  I still think the book is better; but, that first film version is very good!   The recent film is an uneven mixed bag, for me.  I like the clothes and the imagery (and the scooters!); but, I found the pacing to be painfully slack and slow.  Not an awful film, but not a great one, either.  Just my opinion, mind you.

the book is always better than the film

if you havent yet seen them yet finish the book first alisha

the original movie i found dated and a bit twee

the remake was more like the book and better  but a bit slow moving in places

the modznrockerz bit was well done but it lacked oomph elsewhere

I havent read the book, but have seen both of the film versions.  This is not really a mod storey but an insight to gangland-Brighton.

Hi everyone sorry i havent replied earlier but uni submission etc but however i did squeesze in greene's novel and i have to agree with hubert book is far better!

I read it about a year ago and thought it was a great read, thought both the films were quite good but I think the first just edges the second even though it did look great, agree with everyone else though the book is always better than the film.

I agree with all above, The Book is a great read.

I think the 1st film comes closer to the book.
