The Society of Cool!
Right, i've been searching for a boating blazer for ages now, and found plenty but, only found a couple which are affordable and for various reasons i didn't end up buying them, anyway i was wondering if anyone could reccommend to me any good websites? (which i think might be a tough job seeing that i've looked on nearly all off them) or even better, does anyone want to sell one to me (size 38)

Permalink Reply by Mod Goddess on July 29, 2012 at 5:37 As women don't normally wear boating blazers, and tends to be considered "Too School for Cool" as Pink said in one of her songs, I've just bought regardless because I think they're loud, timeless and stylish - which is the ethos of Mod, anyway.
Although I am currently twice your age, my chest is a little bigger than a 14-year-old girls' - I had a dress made from a 1960's pattern (size 12 Teenage) two years ago to verify this - so I know what to look for in regards to size, patterns and colour schemes etc. I have found one on Jack Wills - Saltwell Blazer - at 109 quid (sale price; originally 229). It may be a little steep in price, but they do have your size.
The BS one I wore for Mods vs Rockers last year (see photo in my album) was an eBay find in mid 2010 and the BS one I wore for Mods vs Rockers 2010 was an in-store purchase at Ben Sherman in Australia as by that time, BS stopped doing the women's line earlier that year world-wide.
Hope that helped! ;-)

The Adam Of London one´s look best imo, but I´m afraid I´m a bit too "strong around the waist" for them. Should be no problem with a 38 chest!![]()
As Mod Goddess hinted, Madcap has one on sale (on eBay, too), but I´m sceptical because it´s purely synthetics (and even though I like the look my wife said it looks like a pyjama. Just sometimes I have to listen to her advice).

Permalink Reply by Kai Ahland on July 17, 2012 at 15:31 JB, I remember you sometime posted a fab picture of a very young JB in his boating blazer, sitting on a lawn, if I´m not mistaken. Come on- give it to us once more...
