Bowling shoes
Thinking of getting these bowling shoes, as i've wanted a pair for a while and they're a good price, however...as much as i like wearing suit trousers, when i'm at college during the day i don't particurly over dress, so i was wondering what trousers/jeans these would go with which would still look smart but casual at the same time?

Not a fan of bowling shoes but they're traditionally teamed up with a pair of 501s with a turn up.
As for the Treks, I've a couple of pairs of those, I usually wear them with a pair of 507s.

Bowling shoes are just right at your age, whatever Old Papa Charlton tells you, Greg ;-)
Had two pairs of Treks (one grey one brown) and really liked them for a casual look, but as with my most recent dessies, the soles got all sticky after a while. That´s why I´ve given up on Clarks crepe soles alltogether.

Bought my first one´s at Shelly´s, off Carnaby Street in 1984, aged 15. Black and white one´s, the soles lasted about two weeks, but never mind, I carried on wearing them with holes in them. Now... excuse me while I get back to my rocking chair...

I like the Clark's treks. Like bobby I've had a few pair over the years. Nice with jeans just like a desert boot.
If I were after a pair of bowling shoes again they'd have to have color though, to me that's the cool, somewhat goofy thing about them.

Ha, yeah those del junctions are a bit too "colorful" for me. Although, those seem to be very popular now. Seen a bunch of photos of different people wearing them.
