The Mod Generation

The Society of Cool!

Bury me a Mod! (But, what would you like to be wearing if/when the time comes?)

A bit morbid to think about, I know but we all got to go eventually! What would you like to be wearing when buried or cremated? I would like to be wearing, from the toes up!,black loake loathers, black socks (any brand, not fussed!), plain black slacks, crisp, white button down collar shirt, thin, black tie, boating blazer, burberry mac.

when i die,
an immaculate mohair midnight blue suit, tailored ofcourse,
black hand made basket weave lace ups
vintage (nos) arrow or brooks brothers white BD shirt
dark blue socks, preferably gabbicci, (just like em)
matching suede belt (only the buckle, nice design, and 3'' showing on either side, due to tunnel loop on waist of trousers)
blue stone cufflinks,
matching tie pin
blue and white striped silk tie, and matching pocket square,
and nice white underwear.
vintage DUGENA WRIST WATCH,
and vintage raybans.

to be buried: now that would take a lot of thinking/planning...would want to arrive in mod heaven (i hope) in style...let me get back to you ;-)....lol

Nice one,Paul! may have to rethink my outfit now! lol

brill post btw..:-)

PoW suit, 3 or 4 buttons, lilac shirt and purple tie. Black loafers, I suppose.

Socks matching the tie. The music will be "You´ll Go To Hell" by Nina Simone", followed by Curtis Mayfields "If There´s Hell Below (We´re All Gonna Go)".

Cheers, Paul.

I will not be buried,but Burnt.For my "Wake",a Soul and Reggae(mixedwith R&B,Ska and Rocksteady)Night.I would like People to enjoy themselves.I know I will-where ever I am!!!

Oops! Forgot about the wake etc. I would like to be buried to the tune of, wait for it...."going underground" by The Jam! Seriously. ;)

Did you tell your wife this, Barry?

I'd want to be buried in my matching Mary Quant beret and scarf, black leather mary jane shoes or some vintage gogo boots - if I can find any - a nice dress and stockings. The music would have to be Happy Days Toy Town, I've mentioned that before but on a different more happier topic!

Apparently Barry, Paul Weller's dad was buried to Going Underground.

Love it!

Wouldn't really like my clothes burned while I'm cremated so dunno really. It'd be nice if someone enjoyed my clothes when I was gone. I hope to live a long life so by then I may just wear s/sl shirts and shorts chilling in the garden having some wine. Perhaps then it won't really matter.
I deffo don't want someone looking at my corpse at a funeral that's for sure.
