It's about the making of the Who's album, Quadrophenia.

Permalink Reply by hubert davenport on July 2, 2012 at 16:59 pete townshend is still in love with mod
he gets all over complicated in describing its heritage and cultural impact
but be honest how many of us would be here today if he didnt ?
that was a brave album to put out in 73 about a youth cult that had withered and near enough died roughly 6 years before .
there wasnt the huge market for nostalgia or "retro " back then
and even if there was most people would have looked further back than 64
quadrophenia re ignited mod and the flame has burned constantly since
so thanks for that pete
