Cheers Norrie. I have always quite liked writing, even in the mad school days at the Roch. Especially glad you enjoyed the article as you were there during the early days of the Mars bar.
The article is titled 'The Mod Revival' Lainy, and it is the third one down on the main site page in Mod Times.
Ahh just read it Chris, good reading. So many hidden talents, now wating on chapter 2.
Thanks Stevie for the link..am a bit slow today. Chris it,s so funny how those few yrs have really defined the people we are today.

What a huge impact the ppl, places, music, clothes and friends have left on us all.
It was a great time Lainy. And although I wasn't a Mod when it all started again in 1979 I can remember lots about those times. I remember the large queues of Mods waiting to get in to see Quadrophenia at the Odeon when it came out towards the end of that year. And I remember all the Sighthill Glory Boys back in the early days, and all the Mod grafitti they tagged around the north of the city like Mods 79, and Modrophenia: A Way of Life.
I hope you do a 2nd piece Chris. I normally don't look at the main page, but I was a bit bored today and thought I'd have a look. Really glad I did.
Cheers mate, thanks for the compliment. I did a few other one's for another Mod site a good while ago, so maybe Stevie could use them too.
There ye go, Chris, ye've written the introduction to the book!

When are we getting the rest of it?
There is most definitely a book there just waiting to be written Stewart. Anyone who was around during the 1979 to 1983 period in Glasgow will testify to that. The only reason I have never done anything until now is that many of the stories are so mad and fantastic that people in general will think we (or me) are guilty of exaggerating the truth.

And I don't mean for one moment to downgrade the experiences of the Mods who came after us, its just that I had no first hand experience of it, so I would not write about something I do not know for certain.
Always remember the phrase "a source confirmed" it works a treat.
Your correct in that the book is called This is a Modern Life, it's more the 1980's London scene.. It's a fantastic book for which I have just finished again for the upteenth time.

The book was was compiled by Enamel Verguren who has just finished a similer book of the 1990's scene. The book was supposed to be out by christmas but is now on hold till the newyear.
