I remembered desparatley wanting to go to the local Cinema to watch a Ska Documentary called Dance Craze.
Anyone else remember it.

Lol me too Paul, i was about 10 or 11 when it came out so I never got to see it.
I was gutted as a few of the older kids went to the cinema to see it.
Anyone got a copy or know where I could get one?

Harry - The Dance Craze film has only so far been released on V.H.S. tape but if you go on ebay you might be able to get a D.V.D. copy for less then £10. I got mine on a scooter ride out for about £6.

Got me the soundtrack on vinyl recently; had it back in the 80´s already but it got lost somehow. Still have the "Two Tone Book For Rudeboys" from that time, which initially was as important to me as the Barnes Bible!

"The 2-Tone Book For Rude Boys" by Omnibus Press, 1981, Harry. Lots of b/w photos of- and info about each band that recorded for 2-Tone; Specials, Selecter, Madness, The Beat, Bodysnatchers and the Swinging Cats (now that I mention it: I even got their only single somewhere, too...)

Glad to help, mate! It wasn´t that spectacular a book, but enough to impress 14 yr old me, hahaha! One of the books I´ve yet to read this year is Pauline Blacks biography "Black By Design".

I remember it well Harry. It was basically just live footage of all the 2 tone bands. I remember everyone dancing in the ailes and on the stage at my local cinema. Happy days!

It was a big deal at my school, everyone was well into it.
I'm surprised Mods my age haven't mentioned it on here before.
