Well I would advise you to book a holiday for the Monday next year Aldo. That was some night that you missed there, absolutely brilliant and the place was just jumping. I hardly had a chance to drink my drinks (honestly) I was on the dance floor so much. At one point I was going to ask Mikey or Molloy to play something rubbish to give me a break ha ha.

On behalf of Friday Street I’d just like to pass on our thanks to everyone who came along at the weekend to help make it another great event.

 

Special mention for our guest DJ’s Gav Arno and Pid, also The Hamfat 4 and The Privates Hammond Orchestra for their live sets, Nicky and all the staff at McChuills, all staff from Blackfriars and The Barony Bar.

 

 

We had more travellers from outside Glasgow this year than ever before so hats off to those  who travelled from Spain, Germany, all over England and the magnificent turnout once again from the north and south of Ireland, the continued support that we get is very much appreciated, massive thanks to you all.

 

Saturday night was brilliant once again although a bit of a blur after about 1am and how good was Sunday? What a great atmosphere and even the space at the bar was taken up by dancers in the last hour, amazing!!

 

 

Our next events are:

Mod Alldayer in McChuills on Saturday 21^st July (free entry)

 

 

Friday Street 12^th anniversary with Big Boss Man live, tickets on sale now from behind the bar in Blackfriars

 

 

 

Dates for next year’s Mod Weekender are 27^th – 30^th June.

 

 

I’m off now to sleep until then.

If carlsberg, or whoever, did parties they would be like the one we just had - amazing! I think Friday Street are setting the standard for mod clubs - a cool, ventilated club, entirely smart crowd and fantastic music - 100% class.

Heck just recovered from the best weekender of the year.  Big thanks to the Friday Street guys and everyone else involved, it was brilliant.  An outstanding weekend from beginning to end, i never stopped dancing from Friday through to Sunday night, which my legs have been telling since yesterday morning LOL.  Every night was a top night and the Sunday was totally fantastic, anything goes on the Sunday and boy did we all have a ball! in the last hour or so everyone was dancing all over the club, even at the bar, fantastic, keep it up Friday Street :-).

I only made the Sunday this year, but from when I arrived at 1.00pm, what a fkn blast all the way through till back of 2.00am.

Had a fantastic weekend, only made it to sat and sun afternoons in mcchuills but really enjoyed it. Was really impressed by the music being played by graeme?? on sunday, recognised some of the songs but not all, can anyone if possible help me with some of the artists so i can investigate further.  thanks in advance

Got to say a big hats off to Mikey, Camel & Quinny for one of the best weekenders I've been on in ages. Great venues, great music and a brilliant atmosphere all weekend. Never stopped laughing from friday afternoon through to monday morning - absolutely fantastic! Met up with old friends and made some new ones too - roll on next year! Mikey, next year everyone will be doing the fish!!
