Permalink Reply by Christophe Schmitt on December 9, 2011 at 1:24 I am french. I lived in the Quebec province, in Canada, since 1988, and i am not the only one from this part of the Commonwealth. My good friend Pat, from the fantastic blog "Parka Avenue" , is a regular poster! So...We are the Mods, and we're proud of it!

I'm grateful to anybody on this site that accept non-British Mods. Unfortunately, some close-minded people think that the Mod movement is exclusively English. I've received some hateful comments on my blog about that. I will always pay homage and respect to the originators and I'm glad to see that it is now a global culture. Let's not forget that it has always been made up of the best of many influences: American Soul and RnB, Jamaican Ska, French and Italian fashion, the American Ivy League look, the Italian scooter and the British flair to bring all those wonderful things together. One thing that always made me proud to be a Mod was that we are open to other cultures. Mods of the World unite!
Well said Patrick, couldn't of put it better myself :-)
