JAMES BOND 1960s OFFICIAL MEN'S CLOTHES COLLECTION

I have been discussing the original 1960s Bond movies with a fellow member and the look and style of them along with things like the 'FLINT' films, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E and such like when he mentioned that in his collection he had a 1960s James Bond tie. I am a bit of a collector myself but don't have one of those mostly toys and games and Corgi cars I had as a child. It set me off looking through my own collection for pics and the net for any images of further items in the range and some are really pretty nifty. Have a look guys. All are from 1965.

Here are a few more images of a variety of shoes ranges from the US and England at the time Connery was Bond. Love the Hush Puppies. (The top ones with the blue box) The Bally driving shoe too. They did stuff for kids obviously but aimed a whole range of suits, shirts, coats and trousers and adult males. Even The Fabs were fans as seen here with George sporting an American brand, Allison's, Sweat Shirt.

A nice little accessory ! Scaramanga was a crack shot but to get his aim perfect he would always have sex first , probably not a good idea to make a hit when you have two loaded barrels to distract you!

Err..what barrels are you referring to ?lol

Haha I was sure someone would crack on soon lol

Great pictures Martin, I never knew that there was a range of clothing.

Here's a snap of the label from the tie I have in my collection.

Bond, Solo, Flint all super cool dudes.Much prefer the term "slacks" for casual trousers.

Great looking tie. Thin from top to bottom I guess? I wonder what of the ranges either US or UK this was produced to compliment. Yep I love the look and style of all those movie characters from the mid 1960s. Black roll neck jumpers, straight leg 'slacks' and zipper jackets for special missions. Top stuff. Those black and white images are screen grabs I took from the THUNDERBALL DVD which includes the old TV ads for the Burton range of items. Actually has Bob Simmons who was Connery's stunt double in the role diving about and finally whizzing of in  DB5 with a 'dolly'.

brilliant photos
