Permalink Reply by Gordon on September 30, 2012 at 12:42 Scarlet - Go and look at the Young Guns website. It's for Mods and scooter riders under the age of 25. Two young members of our scooter club Josh [18] and Laurie [18] are both on the site.
Enjoy.

Permalink Reply by Axel Wall on September 30, 2012 at 14:05 I'm 15 and I've been a mod since I was 12. Pretty much all of my friends listen to house music and modern R'n'B (I don't even see how it's R'n'B)
Permalink Reply by Gordon on September 30, 2012 at 14:13 Like it or not it's the modern R'n'B of it's time. Strip it down to it's bare roots and it's still R'n'B...Four beats to the bar. Mind you if your looking for what we regard as real Soul/R'n'B/Funk check out stuff like Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings. Brilliant stuff.
As for House Music...is it real House Music or just crap pop Dance Music?...I used to love the real stuff from 87 to 92. A lot of us where raving in those days. It was fun.
Permalink Reply by Axel Wall on September 30, 2012 at 14:35 Thanks for the tip! I don't know. The "original stuff" started 10 years before I was born so
Permalink Reply by Jordan Parker on September 30, 2012 at 14:16 I keep getting told R&B is not rythm and blues now and it now stands for rythm and bass innit
Permalink Reply by Gordon on September 30, 2012 at 14:20 Put it this way. In the U.S.A. there was an R'n'B chart in the 40's long before there was any Mods. Now the R'n'B of then does not sound like the R'n'B of the 60's so it's not going to sound like the R'n'B of today is it.
Ignore the charts and take a look around. There's some good soul full stuff out there.
Permalink Reply by Axel Wall on September 30, 2012 at 14:30 I know music changes but I could probably hear similarities between those songs. I can't really here any similarities between modern and old R'n'B
Permalink Reply by Andrew Harris on September 30, 2012 at 14:47 You can't beat a bit of British R&B Stones, Them , Pretty Things , Manfred Mann, Animals
