Vintage Trouble are a new one on me and I bought their CD and it has some superb classic RnB, soul, funk type stuff on it. The singer is top class and wears some great gear too. Check them out.

Permalink Reply by Karl Sheldon on March 15, 2012 at 21:06 Missing Andy. Already liked one of their songs but after seeing them in this months Scootering thought I'd give them a better listen and they're pretty good.

Don't get me wrong i love the revival influenced bands but there's more to Mod then trying to sound like The Jam, Oasis or O.C.S. [if you get my drift].

Permalink Reply by Kai Ahland on March 20, 2012 at 12:34 Just had a closer look at "Missing Andy" and to me they give the impression of dressing up a bit mod for commercial reasons. Which is absurd, isn´t it? The music reminds me of the Ordinary Boys, only they had a better singer in Preston. Well, I think I´ll get me a Missing Andy copy anyway!

Permalink Reply by Mod Goddess on March 16, 2012 at 8:37 You'd be lucky if you found some of the [Australian] Flies (Ronnie burns' first group) material, Wigan Boy as it's really hard to locate anything, although you can find "Doing The Mod" on Youtube! It was their cover of Vandyke and the Bambis version. Ronnie Burns is also the father of Lauren Burns - Australia's gold medallist in taekwondo at the 2000 Olympic games.

I just heard this by The Dead 60s - a Scouse group. Sounds Ok, I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqcKZwoEQOA&feature=relmfu
