That was a good wee night.

Great night once again Jim. A few beers, good company, and seeing a Motown legend before a packed out crowd. Not many things could better that.

Aye Aw right Nae need tae rub it in, glad u lot had a good time.
Tried phoning the arches all day finally answered about 7.30 but there was no returns.
Aw well maybe next time.

Its a pity you never came along Aldo. A couple of the guys came along without tickets and got a in due to a few tickets being returned.

good to meet eveyone last nite, really enjoyed the gig as well .should have went home after pub shut instead of drinking cheap bourbon in iovry blacks till one ish.

I know there's always tickets turn up, the Mrs was paying so in end she didn't want to try. Shame Her favourite song is heatwave too would've been great to see it sung by Martha and the vandellas
Anyone know a good divorce lawyer, she s outa here

Had a great with everyone. Had to go home after the gig as I working this morning.

Good to see you Chris and hear all is well. Martha was tops!

Yeah, it was a great night Elaine, roll on the next one eh !

Hi everyone, sounds like you had a good night. What was Martha's performance like? I've got the opportunity to see her in York tomorrow night, but I'm a bit undecided wether to go. I saw her on Jools Holland a couple of years ago and was devastated at how poor she sounded. You obviously all had a great night, but was it the event itself or did she also perform really well too? The Jools Holland thing was a while back and it might have just been a duff night and lack of preparation.

Don't get me wrong, she's a real star, but If the voice has gone, I think I'd rather remember her with a cracking voice on grainy black & white clips. What do you think?

Well the first time was saw her was a year and a half ago. We were actually talking about her performance on Jools Holland and how bad it had been. She was brilliant that night in July 2010 and she was yet again very good on Sunday night. Its hard to say one way or another, but I always feel that performers do their best work when there is a great atmosphere and both concerts had that in bundles. At the end of the day Martha is over 70 now and I suppose she is not going to be quite as good as in her 1960s heyday. But she is still a great performer if her  gigs up here are anything to judge by.
