Mod Coats

When you would of looked at the title of this post, you would of been thinking, 'is this kid thick, has he never heard of a parka?!' and of course i have. However as much as i love wearing my parka, it's VERY thin, so it's not the most practical thing, so altough i love my parka dearly, what other mod styled coats would you recommend which won't only look sharp but most importantly, warm!

a nice pea coat or even a duffle

Yup, pea coat or duffel I think of before parka. I have a vintage virgin wool Pendleton I wear on cold nights that's not the most striking coat but it looks nice. Vneck sweater under a bomber works well too. When it's really bad out I have a dark blue made in USA air force "parka," it's not a big green mod looking parka with a fishtail though.

Depends on how cold it is and what you're layering underneath but pea coats are usually made of wool and keep you pretty warm.

sweet, might treat myself or just sell my current parka because of how thin it is and just get a proper u.s army one. Cheers for that.

The one I have is not easy to find, never seen it online although I haven't looked that hard. I was pretty lucky and scored it at a thrift shop for ten bucks.

I live in Sweden where below -20C is not unusual in the winter and I wear a Glovall wool pea jacket complemented with a woolly sweater - mind you woolly hat and gloves are also required!
