New York Hat Company do some nice hats ,if thats your thang !
Used to wear a pork pie back in the day, loved it but was a right pain getting knocked off by people so alas its no hat now.
Permalink Reply by Derek Gardner on January 27, 2012 at 14:15 Think a trilby can look really good and have often fanicied one but if your under 6ft which I am I am always looks like a sustitute for not being tall,
always liked my old narrow brim trilby worn with a nice chalk stripe with baggy trousers and oxfords , but that was the late 60's and I had a 28" waist and 36" chest, it suited a slimmer me.

Permalink Reply by Andrew Harris on January 27, 2012 at 15:24 don't really do hats , but a pork pie, a proper one! Not a trilby can look pretty cool. I don't think I ever had one of my own but I borrowed my mates for this old 80's pic lol

Permalink Reply by hubert davenport on January 27, 2012 at 22:26 ive got a lttle convertible car lined up for the spring and summer
i reckon i'm going to need some sort of hat whilst driving it with the top down as unlike other men my age i havent yet developed wavey hair
[ hair that is waving goodbye to your head that is ]
so without a hat i'm going to end up looking like ive been dragged thru a hedge backwards after a long drive
so whats out there ?
i dont fancy baseball caps at all !
there must be another mod who has ran an mgb or spitfire or something and has a titfer to reccommend ?
Permalink Reply by hubert davenport on January 27, 2012 at 23:22 youre right harry !
that hat is a good idea ...
much better than what other more mainstream convertible drivers wear
Was going to suggest that Harry, you beat me to it .ha ha
Permalink Reply by Mal Morris on January 28, 2012 at 10:36 Personally love my trilby with an overcoat, 60's style military hat with a more casual look. Have a mate who has a pork pie and he looks the dogs in that too. Guess it's just wear what feels right with your outfit and keep it smart and elegant. :)
