John Leo Waters has added a great article on MOD JAZZ with a compilation of tracks ‘loosely’ defined as Jazz that he remembers from his days as a Mod.

Permalink Reply by Paul D,Angelo on June 8, 2012 at 19:51 In The Clubs I frequented in the 60,s it was nearly all Soul/R&B, But the odd Jazz track would creep in now and again, Soul Sauce was one, by Cal Tjader, Why don,t you do right, by Mark Murphy, Elaine Delmar, Sneaking up on you,The Fife Piper, by the Dynatones a big R&B/ Jazz sound at the Wheel, Then a much later one, The Bottle, by Gill Scott Heron, a 70,s favourite at Blackpool Mecca/Wigan Casino, Good stuff.
This is my sort of music. I am loving listening to JLW's Jazz Mod comps tonight.
I also love the modern jazz sounds of Miles, The Mad Monk, Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane etc, but that might be something to do with me getting older!
