Mod Magazines
Can anybody tell me why there isnt a decent mag for mods, looking round mag shops can only find rockers, teds most record magson heavy rock or glam rock and usual s*** thats out these days.

Most of them are by mail order. Sussed is a A4 glossy fanzine from Ireland thats now on to issue two. www.facebook.com/susseddublin
And there's Heavy Soul that's now onto issue 14. www.heavysoul45s.co.uk
And if your into the scooter side of things there's Scootering and also Classic Scooterist Scene.

It's not strictly mod but Shindig! magazine is well worth buying. It covers well known and also some quite obscure 60s artists etc.

Mags like the ones mentioned shouldn´t be on display in average mag shops. I´m all for not making our scene unnecessarily popular.
Yes, Sussed is great, professionally made, and I don´t miss an issue of Heavy Soul either.

Great magazine for mods in all the major retailers called "The Right Direction" , saw it in Asda last week and W.H Smith , it's got an interview with Martin Freeman this month . ;)

I think mod should be a bit secretive and elitist and it shouldn't be dictated by the whims of fat cats and big corporations. It's very individualistic. Sites like this are good. This one was one bloke's idea and designed by him and it's more or less directed by the people who use it who are all interested in the same sort of thing. The fanzines of years ago were the same sort of thing but obviously much more limited.

Thanks lads will have a look for The Right Direction and Sussed, Heavy Soul, i know about the others, ok Kai kind of know what your getting at and you maxr&b but it would be nice for people to realise there is something than the massed produced garbage out there,hate reality shows and gangsta rap crap.
