The Mod Generation

The Society of Cool!

Can mods have beards/goatees or should they be clean shaven. Personally i have a goatee but am thinking of getting rid of it to have the smooth look. I was asking as one of the mods in Quadrophenia has one.

Smooth clean smart look for me.  I guess the mods in the 1960s would of been too young for beards. What mod in Quad had one, one of the extras?
Manfred Mann had a beard in 1964, I didn't think it looked right.
Definitely clean shaven look for me. I always think beards are for folk singers. And as for moustaches, well  they always remind me of Freddie Mercury or those guys from either Village People or Frankie Goes to Hollywood ha ha.
Clean shaven. Although it is all about being individual. Didn't Graham bond have a moustache? I guess it depends on the person, but clean shaven for me.
Aye clean shaven,  I've never grew a beard or had a moustache in my life, I used to laugh at Jason Wynegarde for his "Porno" moustache in Department S,  I remember Manfred Manns beard also Patrick, nah, just not for me, take it on this discussion the girls won't admit to having a moustache removed by modern science,ha,ha!! Here's a picture of a Victorian bearded woman, put you off your dinner mind you parental consent when viewing required.Ha,ha!!!
Now thats what we call in Glasgow someone whose not "scared of the beard" ha,ha!!
Can't recall a Graham Bond Andy, but I do remember Brooke ha ha.

Yep that's his brother :)
