I recently did a Top 10 for my blog of the favorite Northern Soul and RnB 45rpm records I bought in the last year. They are on regular rotation whenever I DJ.

Tough as anything to pick a top ten, but Northern wise ten crackers to me (1) The 13th Avenue Aviators- You Should Have Held On (2) Barbara Lynn- This is the Thanks I get (3) Sam Dees- Lonely For You Baby (4) The Showmen- Our Love Will Grow (5) The Poets- She Blew a Good Thing (6) The Valentines- Breakaway (7) JD Martin- By Yourself (8) The Outsiders- Lonely Man (9) Dena Barnes- If You Ever Walk Out of my Life (10) Dee Irwin- I Only Get This Feeling.

Motown tracks I would choose include (1) Marvin Gaye- Can I Get a Witness (2) The Miracles- Gotta Dance to Keep from Crying (3) The Contours- First I Look at the Purse (4) Martha & the Vandellas- Heatwave (5) The Four Tops- The Same Old Song (6) Stevie Wonder- Uptight (7) The Marvelettes- Too Many Fish in the Sea (8) The Temptations - The Way You Do the Things You Do (10) Kim Weston- Helpless.
