The Mod Generation

The Society of Cool

Hi,
I am after some advice on buying a scooter, after a cheap run around, looking on ebay and there are a number of scooters available, only looking at a budget of £1000 for something that is a runner, but could be tatty, which would be a project over the winter months. all the lammys seem to be projects only for my budget, but some vespa available for the budget. any advice? thanks all at CVS for their advice already.

got me self a px 125, last night, just waiting for it to come at the weekend, cheers

I'm a bit confused, who says a px is not mod? Are mods supposed to be some sort of clones, freedom of choice is everything, I had my first Vespa when I was 17 a V100 sport and I fcuking loved it and now I ride a 1983 mk1 px125 and I'm not now or have ever been a scooter boy but then again my scoot ain't covered in mirrors n fox tails etc cos its all too cluttered for my taste, but anyone who likes that should go ahead cos it's their choice, even if I think it's all a bit ropes, elitism is fcuking stupid and childish cos it's each to their own and that was always the mod ethos, fix up and look sharp it's a lifestyle choice n like Weller said I was born a mod and they'll bury me a mod but I'll never be a slave or sheep n follow the heard i'd rather keep riding my px :)

sorry keep saying PX, its a lml.

Oh it's just so easy to say one sentence and upset some people, yes i know I do it all the time, but this time it wasn't me. Ho ho ! Well done JM, only joking though,  and well done JW. We all have to keep this site lively. It would be so sad if we only said things like 'I like your scooter' or I like your clothes',  all the time. Yes compliments are great, but so is lively discussion well IMHO anyway.
