I have two really good friends who were biker/rockers.

It's such a shame Trish buried them down the bottom of the garden ;(

Don't mind 'em .

With the cat on my knee, a nice pair of slippers and my pipe, I find them quite agreeable.

Nice one, Bobby!  ha ha ha!

Look, it's gonna happen to us all one of these days. Honest! ;-)

our scooter club have close links with the belfast choosen few , ,real good blokes , never had trouble with rockers back in the day , it was the ira blowing everything up that was our problem :)

What and get your gear and hair messed up??...Where are these "rockers" anyway?

Hmmmm, the IRA blowing people and stuff up puts things in perspective a little.

I am cool with some biker dudes. This one MC has a clubhouse near me and I go there sometimes when they have shindigs. They have a boxing ring in there... Pretty entertaining watching punker chicks box.
:)

i think youre more likely to get a cheery wave from a rocker these days

mind you i was once just lately  in genuine fear of being tossed off while riding my lambretta when an old fashioned  brit/ chop hybrid type bike thundered past followed by a car full of what looked like outlaw biker types .

i reckon they would have rammed me so i just stopped without warning and put putted off down a sidestreet .

the occupants of the car looked genuinely disappointed

but as for fearing violence  i think they were the exception to the rule

My grandad said they used to get sideswiped by greasers in vans and old Ford Consuls, because they always shouted out of the windows first, it was easier just to ride up the kerb and go on the pavement. We were wiith 3 real old greasers at the garage, one was 71 and still rode a harley haha, they all just bantered straight away and grandad said at least a mod fell off with style haha and if greasers had any sense they wouldn't have worn leathers and boots because it slowed them down when they ran away haha.they were good blokes though, really funny.

Grew up around people who were into bikes - one of whom I was very close to and who died last year. Long story. Many years later, I subsequently have met some of the most nicest people I know in the famous 59 Club - here in Australia - both Originals and Revivalists. I get along with them and I've never had any trouble at all... well, maybe except for this 'mock' fight a few years ago at Victoria's own Brighton Beach...

I'm not in the scooter club anymore - another long story - but I do catch up with the 59er's now and again! Bring on Mods vs Rockers 2012!! ;-)
