They want to knock it down to build a hotel for the olympics apparently. Would be a massive loss to Manchester and to Northern Soul. Please sign the petition.

I just signed this petition ( i rarely do). I know how important is this place even i never went to but i read so many things about it that i could not ignore this. I will try to obtain more signatures by every people i know even they never heard about Twisted Wheel!

I´ve signed too; everytime I´m in London it makes my heart bleed to see what they have done to the old Flamingo premises where later I had the best of times when it hosted Blow Up as the Wag. A f*****g O´Neill´s, the Mc Donalds among the Irish Pubs. Such a shame! Can´t let this happen to all sacred mod venues! Is there somewhere I can sign for the 100 Club, btw?

I Think the 100 clubs safe for a while? they have had some big names backing them though, it makes a difference, It,s nice to see people concerned, these are special places, we,ve destroyed too many already.

Hello Karl, The planning commitee meet about this in April, theres been a lot of opposition to it, but Councils are mainly boring old farts who go by the letter of the law, and won,t understand the importance of this place, look what happened to the Cavern? I,ve been in touch with many famous musicians, who don,t want to know, even though they,d be nothing without the place, so we,ve got to wait and see, theres still hope, and the lease does,nt expire untill December, so keep praying!!

Signed/Hope they dont knock it down, Would be nice to visit this place sometime. Heard good stories about it.:)
