Scottish Soul Bands Of The 60's -The Senates(Putting the SCOTlight On Scotland In The 60's)

A fantastic Soul band, made up of various members from Glasgow, Fife and Dundee, one of the finest Soul bands to come out of the U.K, for reasons known only to themselves their full potential was never reached, and they had some reputation as a backing band, touring extensively with Ben E. King and Garnet Mimms culminating in the release of a ultra rare live album, if you can find it ''Garnet Mimms -Live'' The Senates given full credit on the album, part of the band formed the nucleus of one of THE most famous Scottish Soul bands in the planet The Average White Band, Ben E King wrote and produced a song for them called ''Can't Stop'' in 1967, go check it out. The Senates only album ''The Senates Sock It To You One More Time'' Shows a fraction ot the talent that was in store had they achieved the big time.

Here's a video of what the band sounded like live, respect to these nands that put the ''SCOTlight on Scotland'' in the halycon crazy days of the 60's. Charlie 2011 That Sixties Sound S.C
