Apart from- obviously- Zoot Money (can he be labelled a celeb!?) I guess Andy Summers of the Police is with them. Shows that his career was not necessarily an improvement, haha!
Shame what they did to the old Flamingo premises, btw. No respect for the heritage, really! Bet you´ve been there in it´s heyday, Derek!?
Kai
mate that was too easy for you , I thought most may get Andy Summers but Zoot Money, well done I will find a harder one.......... ooooooooooh thats what she said
Yes mate lived in the Flamingo most weekends when ' up west' and Tiles and the Roaring Twenties in Carnaby St,
Had many a good night at the Blow Up, Wag club (ex- Flamingo) whenever in London in the 90´s, great memories, too! Was devastated to find it converted into a f****ng O´Neills pub!
Saw Zoot together on stage with Brian Auger 2 months ago- very nice down- to- earth- guys!
Didn't know he was still doing the rounds, Brian Auger trinity now that brings back a lot of memories .
Straight out the Flamingo and down the road to Le Macabre coffee bar for a break, coffee on a coffin , then perhaps a salf beef sandwich down by the windmill and back to the Flamingo refreshed.
Oh happy days....
OK stop it, I´m awestruck! Brian Auger stood in for Jon Lord who couldn´t tour Germany because of cancer. All the best to Mr Lord, but I was quite happy about that solution...
Hi Derek, Zoot Money still plays a monthly gig at The Bulls Head in Barnes and he also plays keyboard in the Alan Price band when they also play their monthly gigs in the same pub.
My videos from some of their gigs are on YouTube:

Zoot Money still goes on tour. Gigs info should be on his website, but isn't always up to date:
The Bulls Head website is more up to date, (next Alan Price gig on 9th Feb, next Zoot Money gig is on 29th Feb): http://www.thebullshead.com/GigListing.html

Cheers, thats definately in my diary, I will get a few of the ' old boys together' for a jolly boys outing.
Give me a shout when you do and I'll meet you guys there.
Now you've said something - best salt-beef ever from the little place on Glasshouse St - dream about their sandwiches sometimes.
Now I think of it I dream of Tiles too - anyne know when it opened and closed?
The Whisky-a-gogo was upstairs the Flamingo with a very different crowd - and very definitely a Mod one. Used to go there one or two nights a week most of the 60's
Le Macabre was only one of the many espresso bars in Soho then - my favourite being of course Les Enfants Terribles on Dean St.
Happy days indeed - have a look at my site: lesenfantsterribles.adrianstern.com
Now without bigging myself and my wife up, we are pretty good on anything 60/70's we cant identify him mate.. what about a clue ?
