The Society of Cool!
I am getting ready to board the plane to the UK in a couple of hours; but, wanted to share this track with my friends here, before heading out.
This is a new instrumental R&B number that I recorded last month. It is called "Suede Boot Groove". It is sort of the theme tune for my big trip to England! ha ha!
This recording is part of the Chris Casey/Combo '66 demo album I just finished up.
I wrote all the songs and do all the singing while Colin Fleishacker took care of the bass guitar parts and Mr. Toby Surratt did the drumming.
Hope you folks find something to enjoy about it.
Cheers!
Chris

And it's truly somehow the tune I can hear in my head when I put on a new pair of Clark's Dessies! :)

I am having an excellent time here in the UK!
Tonight, I'm heading out to Reading with my mates to catch the Secret Affair/Purple Hearts gig.
Should be fun!
Again, thanks everyone for listening and for commenting.
All the best,
Chris

Permalink Reply by Chris Casey on September 9, 2012 at 11:07 Thanks so much for all the great comments, folks!
I well and truly appreciate them all.
Kai--- The Purple Hearts/Secret Affair gig was great! I had a wonderful time! My only complaint was that Secret Affair were a bit too loud for the venue. They were spot on, musically, though! Loved it all!
I've got lots of stuff going on for the next few days. Looking forward to all of it, of course!
But, what I am most looking forward to is a trip down to Brighton on Wednesday!
And one week from today I'll be hanging out with Andy Lewis, Dean Rudland, Eddie Piller and whole pack of others on the Acid Jazz Rare Mod Boat Trip up the Thames! I won tickets via a competition on The Modcast.
Good times ahead!
I'll be sharing more of my music in the very near future.
Thanks, once again, for all the wonderful comments!
Take care and stay sharp!
Chris
