The Society of Cool
The Blues Band, fronted by Paul Jones are playing Glasgow in May. The questions are (1) has anyone seen them live, and (2) are they worth going to see ? Paul Jones always had a great voice as far as I am concerned but it would not be much use having a great voice if the material was not so hot, so what do those out there who have seen them think.

I saw the Blues Band last year at the Sage in Gateshead. Jones still has a great voice and can interact with the listener. The music was of course well played. The set was made up of good old standards and is well worth a look. Good without being top notch!
