The Society of Cool!
Hi I was wondering if anyone knows the N. Irish band The Keepers, I'm looking for their albums
where I can purchase them in American money. They released 3 but they are all in British pounds
("The Keepers" 2002, "Rock and Roll from the Lagan Delta", 2004, & "Leftover Jams, (2006).
I've tried to find them on the net but there are no sign of where to buy them from, not even on Amazon...
Can anyone help me with this?
Email me back
Sara ,I dont think they ever released an album..
I know Hugh their lead singer, I'll find out what recordings they have and get back to you..
unless some of the Belfast lads have anything?
wee update Sara, just chatting to Hugh there, and he said they had 2 albums for sale at gigs.
I did not know that , ya learn something new everyday....
the 3rd one was just them jamming..
If you give me your email I'll forward it to Hugh
Thank you very much! Yeah I'm looking to get their album "Leftover Jams" or anything else they may have out, but I'm looking to purchase it in American $$$.
My email if you want to pass it along to Hugh is firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks John. :-)
I've forwarded it to him Sara.. He'll get back to you soon.
If your on facebook Hugh has left a reply here:
Sara - theres an article on Hugh Burns in issue 2 of Sussed Magazine that will be on the stands in the next few weeks - not an in-depth piece on The Keepers but he does mention them and their discography.
Is there a way you could send me a link to the article or where I can get the mag myself? I'm in the states, (NY) and we get Scootering here but not sure about that mag........................... Can you email me a link to it?
Sara - issue two is going to the printers over the next week so it should land pretty soon. Once i have the copies in my hand i will be posting details of how to purchase one in the forums here. If you want - send a message to my inbox so that i remember you are looking for a copy,
I have to friend you to send you a personal message, so I'm gonna reply here for now, but Yes, I do want a copy. Do you print the mags yourself, is that how that works? That's interesting...........
Anyway, thank you for the tip!
Sara...myself and a friend produce the magazine and its then printed commercially and sold in Ireland and via online methods. This will be our second issue and response to issue one was very favourable. As i say once i have the issues back from the printers i will advertise here and also drop you a message.
