The Society of Cool!
Dexys Midnight Runners to record first new album since 1985
The band, who now go by the name Dexys, made the announcement on their Twitter account, @dexysofficial, which was launched on 24 June. There's some pictures of the band rehearing here.
The band's current lineup appears to include Kevin Rowland, ex-Style Council keyboardist Mick Talbot, guitarist Neil Hubbard, original Dexys Midnight Runners bassist Pete Williams and an artist who is captioned in one of the pictures as "Maddy"

Did'nt rate the come on eileen stuff though.
will hold of on judging them this incarnation till I hear it. but at least they're writing new stuff and not just doing a fecking nostalgia tour.
Most bands that Mods listen to are Not Mods, since when did that stop us listening???
its whats in the groove that counts

Permalink Reply by G Samuel on July 24, 2011 at 18:21 Looking forward to hearing this album. Hope it will be available on vinyl. Apart from my preference for listening to vinyl records and preferring the vinyl sound I just think it offers better value, 12inch record sleeve, large record cover, easier to read information on inner sleeve etc.
