The Mod Generation

The Society of Cool!

The winds of change!! A new kind of mod...............:-)

Here on the Mod Generation it seems that when we reminice about the past, the mod way of life is blurred for some. For a few it means suits, scoots and boots where for others it involves tracksuits and mates on the terrace. One thing is for sure it came from the sixties where there was a simple 3 way decision...Mod,rocker or nothing! Its true that someday mod, for all its different mixed up interpretaion will certainly change, but it wont be because of anything thats gone before. it will be something from left field that no matter where your loyalty lies. will be undeniably so cool and with it, that you have to tip your hat to. Im sure we havent seen that lifechanging thing yet because we are carying elements of the past forward, but as sure as damn it , someone will be brave and take a chance, and change the face of mod forever. Until then lets enjoy a scene that aint so bad afterall. Who will be the new messiah or will he even Know, only time will tell! But one things for sure at first he'll probably get crucified by the oldschool!! Until then lets ''Button up''!!!

Could you be the new Messiah?????????///

Swapo! Swapo!
More than likely the messiah is in his or her teens or perhaps not even born yet but as thing move forth; people become influenced by different stuff. Obviously, terraces and tack suits aren't really that (although, I've never even been to Liverpool lol) so what do I know, I wasn't there.
Beyond all that, now, more than ever, clothing makers and designers have put out so much mod related gear you could put together just about anything your brain conceives... And then wear it next Saturday night!
I'm really not one to tell another what to wear or how to wear it so I'll just leave it at that.

Never wore a full track suit in my life. Ever.

Mr Clem...if you've never been to the U.K. how are you ment to know how we think?...I mean i've never met or spoke to you so how would i know what you think?

Jump to conclusion's and make misinformed assumption's all you like lads.

I've been to the uk many times Gordon, never been to liverpool.
I'm just going off what you've said to me in the past, which to be perfectly honest, was not particularly friendly. So... Dunno mate, maybe you hate yanks I dunno. Maybe you love your American brothers. Not any of that really matters cause at the moment I'm only just talking to me olde duck Gordon from Liverpool.

Don't hate anyone from any part of the world. I have a few friends and family in the U.S.A. and other parts of the world.

Clem.  Scousers are not English, they will tell you that themselves

Ha Ha. LOL Alan.

Your not far wrong about the new mod messiah clem,it may well be that he aint even born yet! But he will come and like all previous trendsetters, he wont even realise the impact he's about to have! It will be natural to him and new and wonderful to everyone else!  :-)

egads...Christ is a woman on Scoot:D

Mod like all human things is subject to evolution and will continue to evolve and mutate. there will be no one messiah just as in the sixties there was no 'leader'. nor in the eighties, nineties nor at any other time. Mod is a collective and like all collectives it will deviate based on internal pressures and take off in a new direction. it picks up influences from other areas and incorporates them into the vernacular. it has every been thus and so it will continue.

Would agree though i think you will find it will stem from one person/group's new perspective! And as said they wont even concieve how big an impact it will have!!

tracksuits and mates on the terrace?  Football hooligans you mean,  there the only lot that had that look back in 80-84 ish and it aint MOD and never will be.  I hate the so called MOD that calls em self this just because they have a scooter a fred perry or ben sherman t shirt  oh and sorry  dont forget the ADIDAS trainers.

Sorry not mod, if it was it would be the MOD Bible by Richard Barnes book.
