Tie ideas?

Depends on the colour of jacket. In saying that it looks okay as an open neck regardless of what you'd be wearing with it.

If I was to wear a tie with it a pale blue knitted effort would be my choice.

Have to agree with Graeme, it depends what you are wearing it with, fella

I have the same shirt myself .. wear it open necked with more casual jackets & have worn a variety of ties with it when wearing suits, depending on the overall colour scheme!

Really don't think you need a tie with that shirt. Could pull that off  easily with a smart blue formal jacket. Just my view of course ! Looks a nice shirt.

Knitted alright, bright red maybe. That what I wear with a shirt in similar colours, albeit striped.

I would do exactly what JTG's done in the picture.

Have it open necked with a grey suit or jacket. Keep all your other colours muted so your shirt pings out as the obvious star of your outfit, it's a cracker mate, it'd be a shame to have it jostle for attention among other colours including a tie.

Nice shirt. I concur with the previous posts; shirt doesn't need a tie mate. Yellow gingham does all the work a tie would, so just wear it open collar with a decent suit. However, I would recommend a nice hanky to dandy it up for you. Any time you can't wear a tie, a nice hanky does  a smashing job in adding that little extra touch that puts you a step ahead mate.....

Ok cheers all, i wore it yesterday (only to the local) Took the advice just wore a Jump The Gun tonic suit, these shoes http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/men/shoes/smart-lace-ups/89231808-schin... and a pocket square blue with yellow flowers, as usuall a bit over the top for a Sunday down the pub but i love dressing up!
