Love, love, love Dusty...always have. Listened to her a lot when I was a teenager, her voice is just amazing. :-)

wishin and hopin is a fav...don't know how to put video on. :-(
yeah...can do it!
Have to agree 100% with you Coiley. Its got to be Dusty Springfield every time. She had such an amazing voice and some of her songs are just top drawer. I have a couple of original LPs of hers (no, I don't mean they belonged to her) and a few CDs too and I can't imagine not playing them.

From 'I only want to be with you' to 'Wishin and Hopin' to 'Little by Little' all her stuff from the early to the late 60s was just brilliant. And her panda eyed look was the influence for so many of the Mod girls when we were younger too.
Heard the other day from Joan believe it or not, George Galloway is in the process of making a stage production of her life story for the theatre, should be interesting that one, Dusty is my mums favourite singer, "Going Back" is her song, I remember from the Scene Club days 'Every Day I Have To Cry Some" getting played, loved it 'cause it was on Ready Steady Go on the t.v, ahhh bliss!!

I always liked 'stay a while'
son of a preacher man for me.
Dusty was brilliant.
Love her on the RSG mowtown special.
She was sublime with Martha Reeves.

I think from reading about this, and seeing some programmes about it, that Dusty was mainly responsible for bringing the RSG Motown special about John, to coincide with the Motown revue tour of Britain at the start of 1965.
yeh I think your right Chris.
She certainly was a fan, and of course she was Irish......
Which is another big plus!!!!!
