The Society of Cool!
Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!
I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!
I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!
Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

hahaha , yeah that's a mustard Harrington Andy, not to be confused with the yellow's you have in your paisley scarf collection lol
2 or 3 button jackets for me , never had a 1 button Derek , but it ain't a rule thing for us old boys as you know , if it looks good , we wore it mate , but watch out for them turnups Derek, just don't go anywhere near hampstead Heath after dark (especially if you wear paisley scarves with an open necked shirt like Andy ) lol
Permalink Reply by Derek Gardner on June 19, 2012 at 12:47 Reggie, I am not going the turnups route on this suit, and as far as Hampstead Heath goes I dont have my hankie hanging out any of my rear pockets mate.and I understand that its was white roll necks and the writing on their foreheads that said HIT ME lol
hahaha Sorry mate , just seen this post Derek lol It don't matter how old I've got , I still mutter under me breath when I see a bloke in a white polo neck lol I'd forgotten about the back pocket hanky trick lol..... even more memories to laugh at now lol lol it's still funny mate, we must be the most childish of the would be pensioners in history lol lol.

haha It just took me back did that mate lol running into the back of one of your mates and sticking the hankie in his back pocket & let him walk round with it wafting about while we were round town haha
They are indeed special, very striking colour too.
What would you wear these shoes with Bettina?
Permalink Reply by Andrew Harris on June 19, 2012 at 10:23 Bettina are they clogs ? ;)
Permalink Reply by Bettina Krause on June 19, 2012 at 13:54 No they aren't. They fit like slip-ons.
Permalink Reply by Bettina Krause on June 19, 2012 at 8:34 @ Derek: Why not? If you find something that strikes you by looking at it it is generally ok. Then you have to check the fitting....but if you have the space for some changes by tailor you should by it. When clothes stop giving you a feeling - that's not mod.
@ Bobby: The colour is my "problem", red is not my favorite colour but I like the style of theses shoes and I have a checked coat with red in it and a handbag with red lining. I would wear black trousers and a black pullover but I need red accessories (belt, jewellery) or pullover with red. It is difficult for me so I think I about it, perhaps they get more reduced that would make the decision easier...But I saw them first there was a sizzling....
Sounds like you've got a plan there Bettina. I think an overall black with the red jumping out would work wonderfully.
