What's your favourite fabric and pattern for a suit?

I'm sure i have a lot to learn from you all here, and i'd like to avoid some traps for my next suit. Something i already know is that i hate suit jackets that keep some winkles after you sat somewhere!

So, what kind of fabric is preferred? What kind of pattern? 2p or 3p suits? For a 3p suit, do you prefer 2 or 3 buttons? And how many suit have you got?

Many deep and important questions that prevent my sleep, and no pills can change that XD

Although mohair is always associated with Mod style suits I personally prefer a really nice pure new wool done in a classic three buttoned style. New wool does not crease as easily as mohair so that is one good reason for me. If I am getting one made I also go for all the trimmings such as covered buttons and fancy lining with my name sewn inside. Covered buttons are always more prone to come loose than normal one's, especially on the adjusters at the side of your trousers, but it does look excellent. And not sure what sort of suit you will get for 2 or 3p Phil, mine cost at least 65p if i remember correctly ha ha.

Worsted / Kid mohair. Has the shine of mohair with a bounce in the material, which means it doesn't criss, even when thrown on the floor at the end of a sweaty night.

Haha Chris, sorry, of course you understood that i was meaning 3 PIECES suits. I am not JB, the only guy who could find a suit for such a price ;)

Karine, agree with you about the suit material, but after a sweaty drunken night i always hang up my suit and throw myself on the floor.Style wise i prefer slim cut three button two piece suits.

Yes, it's uncanny waking up in the morning with all your clothes properly hung / folded, when you don't even remember how you got to bed!

Phil avoid sitting down, it s very un -mod :-)
Each to their own but i m a sweaty enough bassa in a club without compounding mattersby wearing a 3 piece suit, tae hell with that caper.

I have to say that I rarely wear a suit when I am going to a Mod club due to it being too damned hot. Its great looking but not always suitable for these nights.

Ok Paul, don't worry, be sure i will drink a lot of starch to always stand up whatever happens :D

So? for a 3 pieces suit, what is the best? A 2 buttons jacket to let see the waistcoat?

Thinking of doing blue this time around

i think my next choice would be a tonic blue...
