Is it the version on Blue Horizon,  it's great. Or the Chess version ?

Another indie track from my trawl through the vinyl archives last night

The Wedding Present - I'm Not Always So Stupid

Reminds me of getting dumped (again) at Uni.

I was never a huge Weddoes fan - though I saw them a few times.

This track I love, reminds me of the self-pitying misery of youth

Bessie Banks - the original version of Go Now - made famous by the Moody Blues' cover of it.

Here is a clip of her son doing it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6ECOhQIUV0 - It sounds OK, but I love Bessie's better!

This afternoon its Nine Below Zero - Chilled. A largely acoustic album from 2002.

Off to Paris tomorrow for week on the road, always a game to be had somewhere!

WOOPEE By Joe Simon, a great great Tune from the WHEEL, also King Curtis,s GREEN ONIONS,, and the perfect song for mid March, ITS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR, Len Barry,

Today, regardless of my daughter moaning about my 'Boring' music:

5.30 - Bed

Hank Mobely - Soul Station

The Milkshakes - After School Session

Thee Mighty Caesars - English Punk Rock Explosion

Good choice! Saw 5:30 in ´91 as opener to Chapterhouse in London. Main act was boring, but they were fantastic. When "After School Session" came out, the Milkshakes played my hometown. They stopped after 2 or 3 songs and only started again after having finished a complete crate of beer (20 half litre bottles) while sitting on the edge of the stage. Those were the days!

Ha ha! Funny story that.

I've a live LP by the Headcoats recorded in Schaffhaussen in 1990... could that have been the gig? It would be great if it was.

No Bobby, must have been 1984, in Essen. I was only 15!

The Milkshakes incarnation.

Ah! 5 years out then... Oh well, funny story all the same.

By the sounds of things you've seen some great bands over the years Kai.

Keeping in mind that I don´t live in the UK, I certainly have, Bobby!

Just back to UK. I've got Barney Kessel - To Swing or Not To Swing playing.
