yeah it was a great place for a warm up before an all nighter. Crofts on Edgeware Road also had its fair share of memorable nights too. I remember one of the original mods being there and telling me scotch and coke was the proper mods drink. I tried for a while but always felt more at home with real ale. Still in the 60's the original mods only had about a choice of either Double Diamond or Watney's Red Barrel so I'm not surprised they thought scotch and coke was the coolest drink.
