Was a big Truth fan back in the day and went to see them regularly in early 80's until they went soft rock and tried to break US market. Would be interested to see them live again. I went to the BBC2 show they were on and was down the front with a my finger pointing on cam all the way through lol
Comment by Andrew Harris on October 31, 2012 at 11:48 I never got to see the truth first time round, I saw Nine Below Zero which was more up my street with the blues thing. I remember the Truth splitting and then reforming as NBZ and I saw them live and they still had The Truth written on the amp. After that they reformed the Truth and tried to be U2, dressed peculier and played pop rock stuff like you say . They kinda left any connection with mod behind for a bit. Seems they are born again now then?
It was a brilliant gig with a very good support slot from The Supernovas. The Truth played all the tracks I wanted to hear and missed out a couple I didn't want to hear, (the late 80s pop-rock stuff)! The combined up-front pairing of Greaves and Lister were right in the face of the jam-packed Borderline crowd, (well I was right down the front). If The Truth go back out on the road then definately go to the gig. Check out Dave Edwards' review in his excellent blog: http://scene64.posterous.com/the-truth-live-at-the-borderline-26th-...
