Scarborough Easter 1980

I was there that Easter Sunday 1980 in Scarborough. The press overdid the headlines that is for sure, but to my knowledge it was the biggest scooter rally in years with over 3000 Mods and Scooter enthusiasts coming in for the weekend. I remember ‘My World’ by Secret Affair blasting out from one of the Amusement Arcades on the seafront – great memories of the town that I still call my old home.

Great times...."We are the mods we are the mods" along the sea front.

I remember similar headlines all over the country Tim, including up here where Ayr was the place everyone invaded.
