"you say Blur aren't mod, which i sort of agree with, but they definately have a slight influence in some of their clothes atleast, check Damon Albarn and Alex James (the ones on the left) and they definately look mod, with the 3 button…"

"Hi Carlos, The Blur Album that Mr. Weller was referring to was 'Modern Life is Rubish', which came before the Parklife and 'Girls & Boys' stuff. But the 'Modern Life' album was quite good and had that Mod influence…"

"That's almost the same reason why I admire the original 1960s Mod in crowd - the clothes, the music, the scooters - rather than the Mod Revival. I appreciate and acknowledge the Revival and all the people I've gotten to know on…"

Robert McAlister replied to Chad Worsley's discussion 'Was Britpop Mod?'
"Britpop was a reflection of what we (young) people felt at the time..it connected with mod in part because of its nod to the first great British youth cult..it was inevitable given the crap from the USA -nevermind?"

Kai Ahland replied to Chad Worsley's discussion 'Was Britpop Mod?'
"Yes, it gave new impetus to the scene! I liked the clubs of that time, in the UK and in Germany as well, playing 60´s on one floor and the Britpop of the day on another! In fact, plenty of good club nights back then in my area."

Chad, that was seriously the best comment I've read about the blog. Thank you so much for your thoughtful words and I'm glad you're having a good time with it!

Have fun doing what you're doing and don't let anyone (including me through the blog) tell you any different. We all have a different journey in this Mod thing (oh man, what's with the hippie talk?), but that's what helps us create our own identity within it and forge our own personal styles.

And heck, at your age, you are already way more advanced than I was then!

Thanks for reading!
