Profile Information

About Me:: Retro, yet modernisitic DJ's . . . .

We are fortunate enough to be able to play records in our free time!

We currently reside in Torquay and have been DJ'ing locally for the past couple of years. We run two monthly nights: RETRO SOUL & FRIDAY ON MY MIND, the 1st & 3rd friday nights of the month at the Green Room.

We have a new live music night starting March 31st - the last Saturday of every month - VINYL IN THE ATTIC - the Launch night features the awesome Len Price 3!!
We occasionally are available to do scooter club events and some other special events in the South Devon area and beyond.

Look out for our forthcoming nights. . . .

Have DJ'd over the last year at the Showmen Scooter Club event, Ruby Slipper's Retro Romp 2011, Sixties nights at Premier Cru Cocktail Bar, various private parties, and compered at the Occombe Music festival.

History: We both DJ'd full-time throughout the 1990's, taking a break to have children and now returning as The Vinyl Avengers!

Lady Jade has previously DJ'd in Tokyo and London, sharing a stage with the James Taylor Quartet, Bruce Willis(!) and many other acts. Most memorable night was DJ'ing for Rod Stewart, a great lover of Motown.

There is another Who Torquay Town Hall poster from August 1965 ("By Demand The Return Of The Who"), and another from August 1966. There is also a Kinks poster, a Jimmy James and The Vagabonds/The Cream from 1966, and a Jeff Beck poster, all from Torquay Town Hall. Here's the same Who Poster without the frame and a few others I found:
