Kai Ahland said… No bongos David. But a 10 min drum solo on "I´m a man" by Pete. Auger did some early Steampacket-stuff...fantastic! I´ll be in London probably as early as march 2012- be a bit more expensive when Olympia hits the town later on, right!? Let me know please if anything worthwhile is going on then!
Kai Ahland said… Hi David!
Spent the last week on Lanzarote following the Auger/Money gig. Which was great, of course, best of all were the Spencer Davis Group- encores (Pete York was on drums). They had a woman named Maggie Bell on vocals on some numbers- well- they might have left her at home imho. But anyway- great evening. When my time time allows i will pity you that you have to see the likes of them at Ronnie´s and 100 club etc. instead of the Zeche /Bochum, hahaha!!!
Kai Ahland said… Thanks again for pointing out the Brian Auger/Zoot Money gig tonight to me, David! I´d seen it advertised a while ago but I surely wouldn´t have noticed that Auger is to stand in for Jon Lord. I´m sure I´ll have a great evening!
Kai Ahland said… Yes, Pretty Things were great, David, apart from a few quite lame numbers from SF Sorrow. Thanks again for your tip; gonna see Zoot and Auge in two weeks, the gig ringing in my holidays!
