Sammie Hayes said… peter i absolutely loved your profile story and its as if my family could have wrote it! my dad and aunt grew up in stepney and i only have to imagine what the scene was like from their stories, its really strange as i didnt live with my dad growing up but Mod must have been in my blood because when i did meet up with him again in the early 80's (after years estranged) he laughed at my mod pencil skirt and checked jacket and said i looked like my aunt 20 years earlier! i had no idea they had been mods but i was second generation mod! My brother who was brought up in care was (still is) a skinhead! weird eh!
