Mark Chadwick said… Yes, I bet the traff is a shocker. Its mainly because of all the bridges and water isnt it, so many bottlenecks. I loved living there but found it a bit stressfull and busy for me. I used to love going over to The Rocks or Darling Harbour on a Saturday night though on the top of the JetCat, what a way to go for a pint, stunning! I have great memories of Manly and still have friends there. My flat was actually in a large complex in Manly Vale on the main Highway, Condamine Street. I was renting. I moved to Perth for work as I am an Engineering Designer and wanted to get into the the Oil and Gas Industry. Property was also cheaper in Perth so it turned out to be a good move financially as well and I did well out of noth the property boom and resources boom in Perth in the noughties. I lost my dad in 05 which was hard being over there on my own away from my family so finally came back in 2010. I have an Ozzy passport and can always go back but I wanted to spend time here with my family. I miss Oz but it isnt going anywhere. Thanks for the NSU Prima info link, I'll take a look later, cheers cobber. ;)
Mark Chadwick said… No worries Alan; Nice to be in contact. The Laverda and Beemer motorcycles that you posted look very cool by the way. And you're right the original 6V systems on the old Italian scoots were dogs. One of the first things done on any scooter rebuild these days is the conversion of the electrics to a 12V system and the kits are readily available. It is essential if you want the lights to work!
I know Lane Cove, great spot, beautiful forested areas and water from what I remember. The traffic was a bitch in 99 so I dread to think what its like now. I used to work in Ryde and St Leonards and the drive was a nightmare!

I got the Honda 50 for going into Bradford for art materials and stuff. A 10 mile round trip and 3/4 of a gallon of petrol in the Javelin. Not the Jowett Javelin that was built in Bradford up to a few years before. Ocasionally I was asked if this was a new Jowett!
ur words r very kind m8, thank you!! i hav family in the land of oz, just finished my bottle of wine going the bed b in touch..
Meloetta said… Really? Well that's even better, and here I was thinking that the majority of Australians were destined to be hipsters
Meloetta said… Oh hey, awesome! Nice to know there's some other Australians around ◕‿◕✿

Roger2 said… N L, I looked him up last night. He's just done the Edinbrugh Fringe again! They kicked him off Red Dwarf because he wanted more money. It has always pissed me off to look at him, and listen to his nasal whine. I knew his Italian mother, and my late wife were lasting friends. He had prettywell disowned her when we were last together. I never met him, and that was just as well, 'cause I may have punched his head in. My sons, as kids, used to watch him at their home with my first wife, and used to piss her off, by telling her...that was Aunty Sue's first boyfriend.
Wot larks!
