- FLAT 19 skin basher other members include..the legendary barry frost..steve bartlett and gordon watson...resident of the castle tooting late 70s early 80s where i was also a resident DJ for mod nights..ditto kings head fulham..played often with other tooting band the downbeats.this page will be dedicated to the scene at the time of the late 70,s early 80,s and will just grown with more photos and sounds from that time.it was a great scene and deserves regognition i feel.....enjoy!! THIS PAGE is dedicated to FLAT19.A south london mod/beat combo who gigged extensively around london in the late 1970s early 80s/ Band members were the legendary groovyman Barry frost on bass guitar ,Steve Bartlett on rythm guitar and vocals, Gordon Watson on lead guitar and vocals and myself Andy Hunter on drums.
I have included many photos from the Castle Tooting,Kings Head Fulham and from as many parts of the scene and people at that time.the band are currently toying with the idea of reformation and are working on aC.D album of there original recordings from that time.This will be released on Detour Records label Paisley records in the next year hopefully,with help from Mr Dizzy Holmes..this page will be updated when new info is out and anything happens so visit it often ,enjoy the photos and use the links to hear the band played recently by Mr Alan May aka Glory boy on sixtowns radio every sunday from 7 til 9.
we as a band feel this was a happening scene and our music was both unique and nowhere near exposed enough at that time.the original stuff is what separated FLAT19 from most other bands doing covers mainly at the time
